Until now, quantitation of molecular assays has relied heavily on secondary reagents and labeled detection technologies.  Quadraspec’s novel, direct detection technology eliminates the need for secondary or labeled reagents. Our revolutionary Spinning Disc Interferometry (SDI™) detection method measures the change in refractive index of a beam of light introduced by mass bound to a reflective surface. 

Label-free detection methods have long been pursued because of their promise to significantly reduce the cost of running assays based upon immunologic reactions. Our SDI™ bio-disc platform allows users to rapidly detect and quantify over 1,000 unique antigens, biomarkers, or other molecular species on a single array. The technology requires comparatively little sample preparation and produces quantitative results with unprecedented range and sensitivity.
